Ultra Zinc Primer is a zinc-rich, high-durability epoxy-based coating designed to give a smooth, long-lasting finish. This powder coating creates a tough, resilient layer that excels in protecting surfaces from corrosion and chemicals. This coating has superior transfer efficiency, powder flow, and powder adhesion compared to standard zinc-rich primers. This powder has excellent corrosion protection and low cure capabilities (cures at 300°F). Not for use on aluminum.
Adding a priming step to your process can help defeat problems with adhesion, poor surface quality, uneven surfaces, and orange peel.
APPLICATION NOTE: Be sure that you only do a PARTIAL CURE on this primer before applying your topcoat of powder. If you cure this epoxy-based Ultra Zinc Primer all of the way, your topcoat WILL NOT adhere.
